Boebert challenger Adam Frisch hauls in record-shattering $2.6 million for quarter
Adam Frisch, the Colorado Democrat running to unseat Republican U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert in next year’s election, raised more than $2.6 million in the second quarter, smashing records for the most money raised from donors by a challenger in a House race in an off-year, his campaign said Thursday. Frisch, who came within 546 votes of Boebert in last year’s election in the closest House race in the country, has raised a total of $4.4 million from nearly 85,000 individual donors since launching his bid for a rematch in February. In the quarter ending June 30, his campaign received more than 81,000 donations averaging $32, his campaign said.

Vulnerable U.S. House Republicans who opposed student debt plan targeted in 2024
Supporters of student loan debt cancellation are organizing to hold GOP lawmakers “accountable” in the 2024 election cycle following the U.S. Supreme Court ruling blocking President Joe Biden’s debt relief plan. The left-leaning Protect Borrowers Action will target 13 U.S. House districts across California, Colorado, Michigan, Nebraska, New York, Oregon and Pennsylvania where Republicans opposed Biden’s plan to forgive up to $20,000 for roughly 40 million qualifying student loan borrowers.

Marjorie Taylor Greene booted from House Freedom Caucus
It’s the first public confirmation of Greene’s fate within the conservative group. The vote was first reported by POLITICO, though it was unclear at the time whether she had been ejected. It took place less than two days after Greene got into a verbal floor fight with Freedom Caucus member Boebert, during which Greene referred to the Colorado Republican as a “little bitch.” After the exchange was first reported, Greene confirmed the fight and doubled down, adding another pejorative. The two have clashed repeatedly in the past, but Harris indicated that particular spat had factored into the conservative group’s thinking.
